MEET OUR COURAGEOUS AND BRAVE KIDS

LUCAS

Lucas was diagnosed with High Risk Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He has survived chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirations and more.

"The families at the House have made our stay so much more comfortable. Not only us, but Lucas has made friends for life and built such strong relationships with the other children. If RMHC Sydney didn't exist we definitely wouldn't have such an amazing support network around us, we have no idea what we would have done."
- Stacey, Lucas' Mum

Nights stayed at the House so far:

197 nights

ELI

Eli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His family had relocated from their home on the far south coast of NSW to ensure Eli could receive the urgent care he needed. For the next nine months, they called Ronald McDonald House their home.

"I don't know what we would have done if the House didn't exist, as we live too far... to travel back to the hospital every day. We would have had to stay in a cheap hotel and get local jobs, instead of being present for Eli."
- Dakota, Eli’s Mum

Nights stayed at the House:

250 nights

YOUR IMPACT

By taking part in Swim for Sick Kids you are doing more than just providing a place for sick kids to sleep and have a meal after a long day at the hospital.

YOU are making sure they can keep their families close.

YOU are giving them a normal childhood at the House and a chance to just be kids!

YOU are helping families avoid the financial stress of being away from home. Most importantly, you are providing them with love and support from a community of families, volunteers, and staff.

.
