Meet our new Volunteer Coordinator on newsletter

25 May 2021

I was fortunate to join the RMHC team in October 2020 working as a Family Liaison Officer at Ronald McDonald House. It is exciting to now take on the role of Volunteer & Family Room Coordinator.

I have always had a passion for working with families and children and have been involved in working in various Family and Children’s Services and Educational environments.

We have over 130 volunteers with RMHC Sydney who are involved in various roles at the Randwick House, Sydney Children’s Hospital Family Room, Royal North Shore Hospital Family Room and Wollongong Family Rooms.

RMHC Sydney Family Liaison Officer and Volunteer and Family Room Coordinator, Nicole Hughes

We say our “volunteers are the heart of our house” and it is a privilege to get to know and work with such an amazing team of people. It is wonderful to hear from our volunteers about their own reasons for volunteering, and the satisfaction they receive from helping and supporting our families in all that they do at the Randwick House and in our Family Rooms. Our families always express their appreciation for all the dedication, care and support our volunteers provide. They are an integral part of the RMHC Sydney Team.

I find our volunteers to be truly inspirational and am so lucky to join them in helping to make a difference for our amazing families each day.
